Hubtrac truck tyres retreaded at Czech facility

Hubtrac reports that it has marked a new milestone in its European expansion, with “multiple tyre models produced at its Serbia plant” having been retreaded at “a professional facility in the Czech Republic”

Hubtrac reports that it has marked a new milestone in its European expansion, with “multiple tyre models produced at its Serbia plant” having been retreaded at “a professional facility in the Czech Republic”. According to the company, the Hubtrac branded tyres went through the full retreading process, highlighting “the structural integrity and strong retreadability of Hubtrac casings under real-world industrial conditions”.

According to the unnamed Czech partner, Hubtrac tyres delivered “consistent and reliable results throughout key stages of the process, including inspection, buffing, and vulcanization”. Furthermore, Hubtract representatives said the casings maintained their structural integrity and “demonstrated excellent compatibility with retreading requirements…”.

“Retreadability is a key indicator of overall tyre quality,” said Edward Xu, Hubtrac’s Head of Marketing and Brand. “We are pleased to see our products performing successfully in European retreading operations. This validates both our product quality and our long-term commitment to design and manufacturing excellence.”

Hubtrac tyres are reportedly engineered for multiple lifecycles, with casings specifically designed for retreading and extended use, offering: up to 80 per cent reduction in raw material use compared to new tyre production; up to 70 per cent lower energy consumption during retreading; reduced carbon emissions per kilometre across the tyre lifecycle; and full compatibility with EU-certified retreading processes.

While many commercial truck tyres in Europe are imported from Asia via container shipping – where vessels can consume up to 100,000 litres of fuel per day (Source: EMSA) – Hubtrac reports a different approach: 100 per cent European manufacturing; no reliance on long-distance ocean freight; distribution via Euro VI-compliant trucks; and “shorter supply chains enabling measurable Scope 3 emissions reductions”.
